PMC Cylinders, Vaggeryd was established in 1928 to manufacture tools and equipment for the engineering industry in Sweden and abroad. In the mid-1950s we turned our focus on the production of hydraulic cylinders and other hydraulic products. Europe is our main market, but we also export to Japan and China. Our business has grown in recent years, largely due to a sharp rise in demand for our products. Our turnover for 2008 was SEK 400 million and we currently employ 180 people. PMC Cylinders, Vaggeryd has four production units in Vaggeryd. In Vaggeryd we produce cylinders of up to 350 mm diameter in three departments: Small (S), Medium (M) and Large (L). PMC Cylinders, business unit Hällaryd in Vetlanda produces cylinders up to 800 mm in diameter with a stroke of up to 15 m depending on dimensions and weight. Our welding department (W) is located in Vaggeryd. This is where we build fork positioners and side shifters for lift trucks. From 2008 we will have hydraulic cylinder production facilities in Qingdao, China.
