By the use of alternating current Blitz 4r AC requires significantly less maintenance then the equivalent models with direct current drive. The use of wet brakes and the absence of carbon brushes helps to cut running costs. The Blitz 4r AC is easy to manoeuvre even in very tight spaces, the drive and lifting parameters are electronically programmable and selectable by the convenient buttons placed on the steering column. There is a choice of three different performance levels, two presets and one programmable. The truck is also equipped with an alphanumeric display on the dashboard for easy identification of diagnostic error codes.

The hand-operated parking brake and the emergency button are located on the dashboard on the left of the steering column. The Blitz 4r AC is available, as option, with an ergonomic multifunctional armrest with integrated  Mini-Joysticks or Fingertips controls, horn and direction control buttons.
