前言 

2020年4月8日零時(shí)起，武漢解除離漢離鄂通道管控措施，被冰封長達(dá)70多天的的武漢正式重啟。而在這段艱難的日子里，有許多與武漢人民共進(jìn)退的外國人，也一起見證了這段載入史冊的歷程。

During the COVID-19 pandemic

我是約翰·佩德羅薩，來自葡萄牙。

自1984年大學(xué)畢業(yè)，作為產(chǎn)品工程師開啟了我的職業(yè)生涯后，一直到現(xiàn)在我都從事于電池行業(yè)領(lǐng)域。

2018年，我有幸加入荷貝克，并于2019年初從荷貝克德國總部來到集團(tuán)重要基地之一的中國武漢，擔(dān)任技術(shù)總監(jiān)。

這是我第一次來到中國武漢，但我立刻就喜歡上了這個(gè)城市，這里的人們十分友好，美食也無處不在。

Hello Everybody!

Greetings from Wuhan!

My name is Jo?o Pedrosa and I am from Portugal.

Battery industry was and is my work life.

I had started working in 1984, just after finished the university, as product engineer on the fascinating battery world.

In 2018, I joined to Hoppecke. After being in our headquarters for some months in Germany, in beginning of 2019 I came to Wuhan with the role of Technical Director.

It was the first time that I travelled to China, but I liked immediately the town, its fantastic people and its tasty food.

眾所周知，2020年1月23日，武漢封城。

不日，我國大使館與我取得了聯(lián)系，會(huì)組織包機(jī)將在漢葡萄牙國民送回國。2月2日，包機(jī)順利抵達(dá)葡萄牙，但我沒有和我的同胞們一起回國。

As it was known, on January 23rd it was imposed a draconian, but necessary, lockdown to Wuhan. In the follow days I was contacted by the embassy of my country, informing me that a flight it was under preparation to remove the Portuguese that were in Hubei. On February 2nd, the rescue flight it was done, but I didn’t joint my compatriots.

DAYS IN WUHAN

Mr. Pedrosa發(fā)給公司同事在漢葡萄牙人包機(jī)撤離回國的機(jī)場照片，那位同事正要祝?！盎丶乙宦菲桨病保瑓s收到他這樣的回復(fù)：

我選擇留在武漢。

I took the decision of staying in Wuhan.

我不會(huì)離開，也不能拋棄我的中國同事和朋友們。

中國敞開胸懷歡迎我們的到來——所以我不能在逆境艱難時(shí)背棄她。誠然，前面的道路是可怕的，但我從不懷疑這個(gè)國家和人民終將戰(zhàn)勝這個(gè)可怕的敵人。

我也確信，有了同事們做堅(jiān)強(qiáng)后盾，我便沒有任何后顧之憂。

I was not able to leave and abandon my Chinese co-workers/friends.

China received with open arms – I couldn’t turn back on him in face of an adversity. Admittedly, what was ahead was scary, but I never any doubt that the country and the Chinese would overcome the terrible enemy.

I was also sure that I could count on with the full support of my great co-workers.

DAYS IN WUHAN

Mr. Pedrosa雖獨(dú)自一人在武漢生活，但在疫情期間他并不是孤立無援，當(dāng)?shù)厣鐓^(qū)服務(wù)和后勤保障確保供應(yīng)小區(qū)居民每日生活的必需品，所在小區(qū)為各家各戶發(fā)放愛心菜的暖心一幕被Mr. Pedrosa記錄了下來。Mr. Pedrosa每天還通過微信和公司同事保持聯(lián)系，了解當(dāng)前疫情防控最新進(jìn)展、交流居家健身妙招、分享自制的中式葡萄牙菜。Mr. Pedrosa為讓同事放心發(fā)來自拍，盡管戴著口罩，但不難看出口罩之下洋溢著的是對武漢充滿信心的笑臉。而Mr.Pedrosa每次和同事聊天的結(jié)尾，大家總會(huì)心照不宣的這樣結(jié)束：

Stay Safe！Stay Healthy！

當(dāng)然，這么久的隔離生活并不容易。但與那些已遭受病毒侵襲的人和他們家人所承受的痛苦相比，與那些始終奮戰(zhàn)在一線的醫(yī)護(hù)人員所做出的巨大犧牲相比，這算不了什么。

武漢政府及各行各業(yè)為抗擊疫情而采取的應(yīng)對措施，令人嘆服——武漢人民眾志成城抗擊病毒的畫面歷歷在目，我將畢生難忘。

我的同事和社區(qū)志愿人員在如此艱難的隔離期間給予我的巨大幫助和關(guān)懷也將永遠(yuǎn)保存我的記憶中。

Of course, that the long quarantine wasn’t easy, but it was nothing when compared to the suffering of all ones, and their families, which were attacked by the disease as well the vast sacrifice of all the people that were in frontline hardly fighting the coronavirus.

I stay amazed with the means that were put in place to combat the epidemic - I will never forget for the rest of my life the extraordinary disposal of resources.

I will always remember with pleasure the enormous assistance and attention that was given me by my colleagues and by the volunteers of my community during the long quarantine.
